The Dupont brewery was established in 1844 in Tourpes, Belgium on land that was formerly part of a Benedictine abbey. In 1920, Louis Dupont’s father bought the small farm and brewery, which is now run by Master Brewer Olivier Dedeycker, a fourth generation
member of the Dupont family. The land still operates as a farm, including a small artisanal cheese-making facility and a tiny cafe that serves traditional Belgian fare alongside Dupont’s impeccable collection of classic Belgian beers. One of the first brewers in Belgium to have embraced organic brewing, Dupont’s collection includes five Certified Organic selections. The brewery is most well-known for producing Saison Dupont Vieille Provision, the benchmark of one of Belgium’s most influential beer styles. It is the most admired and imitated Saison in the world and has been named the “Best Beer in the World.”
In addition to brewing the iconic Saison, Dupont is a pioneer in the brewing of ORGANIC beers in Belgium. We import four: Avril, Bière de Miel, Foret, and Foret Blanche. The newest entries—Posca Rustica (a Gruit), La Bière de Belœil (a strong Saison), Monk’s Stout, Redor Pils, and Foret Blanche have gotten phenomenal receptions here.
